Mega Knight

One of the newest cards in the game, the mega knight is a card that is definitely on the rise, appearing in one of the most meta decks in Clash Royale at the moment, mega knight-hog. The biggest plus that the mega knight has is its ability to land with the force of a fireball, which is more than enough to counter most cards. Because of its defensive capability, the mega knight can turn defense into offensive quickly, which is why it is so popular in the meta at the moment. Expect a nerf to its deployment damage eventually.

Knight

The little brother of the mega knight, the knight is a card that is arguably even more on the rise than the mega knight. Offering insane defensive value for only 3 elixir, the knight is one of the strongest tank cards in Clash Royale at the moment. The knight fits in so well with zap bait decks, being the primary tank within the deck. If you use the knight on defense, chances are that your opponent will be forced to counter in on the other end, since the knight can do tons of damage on a tower!

Suggested Decks: Log Bait, Hog-Executioner, Bowler-Graveyard

Witch

The witch is one of the cards that is just beginning its rise to the top, led by its ability to spawn skeletons that lock on the tower. When played as a support card behind a tank, the witch forces you to also address the skeletons she spawns. So with beatdown decks, the witch is really one of the best cards that you can use. The witch is also a great card to use on defense, countering most cards that come down the lane, from minion horde to elite barbarians.

Cannon Cart

After the Crown Championship Global Series regional finals, the cannon cart really came to attention to the global meta. Most players had written off the cannon cart as a weak, overly expensive card, but now it is quickly shooting up the meta. If you can get the cannon cart close enough to the arena tower, it can do a whole bunch of damage, which is often enough to win the battle. The cannon cart is also fast enough to fit into both cycle and beatdown decks, which gives it a solid place in the upcoming meta.

Hog Rider

While the hog rider isn’t exactly trending up in the meta, there’s a clear reason. It’s because the hog rider is already at the top! The hog can’t get much better as it is undeniably the best win condition in Clash Royale right now. Fitting in everywhere in the meta, from log bait to mega knight hog, the hog can do no wrong. While Clash Royale has refused to nerf the hog in the past, expect a nerf soon; most likely a nerf to hit speed or damage. Until that nerf though, enjoy the hog as an easy way to win!

Princess

Log bait is one of the best decks in Clash Royale right now, mostly because there are so many cards that can be logged down, such as the princess. The princess fits into this new meta perfectly, allowing you to get some chip damage onto the arena tower, while also giving your opponent a card to log down. If more loggable cards are released from the October update, we will only see the princess continue to rise through the meta, maybe to the second legendary spot?
