Clan wars have been leaked to be in the next Clash Royale update! This update should be coming in April and will definitely feature Clash Royale clan wars! What exactly could clan wars entail in Clash Royale and how will it benefit the game?
Clan Wars LEAKED!
On Reddit, the source of almost all Clash Royale update leaks, the official Clash Royale team confirmed that clan wars would be coming in the April 2018 update. As usual, players were complaining about the lack of transparency with Clash Royale updates. Here’s the thread that was posted about sneak peeks for the April update.
Clash Royale, as typical of them whenever people start complaining about a lack of communication, responded with a little nugget of information about clan wars. Here’s their response to the question about clan wars and a tournament revamp!
Clash Royale basically confirmed clan wars here with this response. This definitely delivers some hype for the April update, as we haven’t heard much and there hasn’t been an update since December 2017.
It is kind of unfortunate that Clash Royale will not be addressing the tournament issue in this update. Tournaments, once the crowning feature of Clash Royale, have been one of the most disappointing points of the game.
However, let’s focus on what is coming to the game in the next update: clan wars! Here are some ideas that I have about what clan wars might entail once they are added into Clash Royale. Of course, they are already in Clash of Clans!
- Crowns Challenge: Of all of my ideas, I think that a crowns challenge would be the least likely to happen and least fun. This would basically be another version of the clan chest and would end up being a grind instead of being fun for the whole clan.
- Head to Head Matchups: I really like the idea for head to head matchups. It would be tough to schedule a time to battle, but this seems pretty likely to be the basis of clan wars in Clash Royale.
- Something Completely New: Could we see 50v50? How about multiple 2v2 battles? Or how about something no one has any idea about? Clan wars could be something shocking to be added to CR.

This would ruin the ranking system… Everyone would play 3 games per day and just keep moving up cuz you’d never lose. This is ridiculous lmao

Google the term „leak“, it means that information gets public by any kind of leak and is unintended by the source (uh, surprise, the term makes sense now) and not when they CONFIRM it themself 😉

I see your point, but I mostly consider anything a leak that hasn’t been an official sneak peek or update! Since this isn’t exactly in the lead-up to the update yet, I call it a leak. Definitely understand though, just my terminology!
