New balance changes are here in Clash Royale, with a buff coming to cards like magic archer and fisherman and nerfs coming for lumberjack and barbarian barrel. This balancing update will be released August 5th, 2019 in Clash Royale, with 6 different nerfs and buffs coming. Here are all the balance changes coming to the August 2019 balancing update to Clash Royale!

As always, nerfs will be listed in red, while buffs are in blue.

• Magic Archer: Damage +16%, Hit Speed 1.0s -> 1.1s
• Fisherman: Anchor Range Increased 6.5 -> 7, Hitpoints +10%
• P.E.K.K.A: Hitpoints -9.5%, Melee Range increased (Short -> Long)
• Lumberjack: Hit Speed reduced 0.7 -> 0.8
• Barbarian Barrel: Damage -15%
• Valkyrie: Melee Range 1.9 > 1.2

Balance Changes Nerfs

There were a few nerfs in these balance changes, starting with the PEKKA. Although the range was increased (by a minuscule margin), this is a big nerf because of the huge HP decrease. Also, the barbarian barrel got destroyed, taking a 15% damage nerf. We all know the lumberjack to have pretty quick hit speed, so it got reduced by .1 seconds. Finally, the valkyrie had a bug fix, but it was ultimately a nerf, bringing her range down to short melee.

Balance Changes Buffs

The two cards buffed in this update desperately needed it. The fisherman has been weak since introduction, needing an HP increase desperately. It finally got it, as well as an anchor range increase. Also, the long-ago killed magic archer might rebound, with a pretty healthy damage increase, despite the hit speed nerf.

I’m a big fan of these balance changes, as I am for almost any update Clash Royale puts out. I feel like the royal giant probably could have used a slight nerf, but maybe we will see that in the next balance changes update.
