Clash Royale confirmed today that the next update for the game will come in March of 2017, not February as most of us thought. Without an update in February, Clash Royale will have gone 3 months without an update. Here’s the tweet that confirmed the update:
Of course, aiming could mean that the update comes in late February or even early April. However, since the official Clash Royale twitter said it, I think that we can be convinced that the next update will come sometime within March.
Now why is the update in March and not February? Well, to start it off, the battle ram is released in 10 days and then the goblin gang comes 2 weeks or 14 days after that. Basically, the goblin gang won’t be coming out until late February.
Clash Royale doesn’t want to rush their updates like the last one when Jungle Arena was released, but not available in game. The next update will definitely bring new cards as with every update, but we won’t have any overlapping new cards from each update.
Also, I think that the Clash Royale team wants to see what players are thinking of the game with their upcoming developer Q&A. This gives a chance for the CR developers to see what the community as a whole wants to see in the game. You can vote for what questions to ask the team here.
To sum up all of this post, we now know that we aren’t getting a February update for Clash Royale. Instead, the update will occur in March after all of the new cards from the December update are released. This is definitely smart by the Clash Royale team, but it kind of sucks that we will be waiting 3 months between updates. Anyways, check back here soon for more update news as the date approaches.
