Gems: the entire basic of the game; how Supercell makes their money and how we stay ahead of the competition. However, is this special currency really worth the much complained about prices?
Prices:
$5- Buys 500 gems
$10- Buys 1200 (20% increase off $5 package)
$20- Buys 2500 (25% increase off $5 package)
$50- Buys 6500 (30.2% increase off $5 package)
$100- Buys 14000 (40% increase off $5 package)
Even with the 40% more gems if you buy the $100 package, is it worth it? A hundred dollars, a HUNDRED dollars, spent just so you can upgrade 15 walls to level 8. Of course, this is the only way Supercell makes money, since the app is free. Some people do buy hundred of gems, but this is mostly because they are on leaderboards or are a famous You-Tuber. Most of us have bought gems, the 5 or 10 dollar package, but we never thought about what we were actually paying for. Here’s some more stats for you!
One gem at the $5 package costs 1 cent, not that much if we think about it. However it is estimated that Supercell makes 2.4 MILLION dollars a DAY. That is much more than most of us will ever make in our lifetime. To me, gems are a ripoff; if you remove a tree, you can get up to 7 cents worth of gems, and all that saving adds up! Yeah your right! But i heared famous players in famous clans used to cheat the game! Is there a real cheat for this? But overall this is so helpful, thanks for sharing!
