The meta is always changing within Clash Royale and for the 28th time, we have the new best deck within Clash Royale! This deck is a mega knight PEKKA deck, centered around the power of the mega knight and PEKKA. Here is some gameplay and strategy around the best deck in Clash Royale right now, a mega knight PEKKA deck!
Mega Knight PEKKA Deck Overview
The two main damage dealers in this deck are the two cards that it was named after, the PEKKA and the mega knight. Both of these cards are tanky, high DPS cards that have to be answered. You can use both somewhat interchangeably, as both cards are great defensive turned offensive cards. Usually, you want to play the PEKKA to shut down a giant or golem push, while you play the mega knight on groups of support units to take them out, thanks to the fireball-level damage it deals. From there, form a counter push with either card. Since the counters to the PEKKA and mega knight are similar, it will be tough to stop both.
As with every deck, you need great support units in order to dominate a battle. In this mega knight PEKKA deck, we have 4 awesome support cards: guards, miner, inferno dragon, and bats. Guards’ role in this deck is to take out any small units that might be left over from your opponent’s defensive effort, as well as help shut down tanks like giant and hog. The miner offers little defensive value, but instead is more of an offensive cards, giving off chip damage to help you take down the tower. In terms of dealing with tanks, the inferno dragon is your go-to cards, while bats are meant as a small clean-up unit that can support both mega knight and PEKKA well.
Finally, this deck features two of the best spells in Clash Royale, the zap and the poison. Both fit in very well with this deck, being able to clear swarm units away from your big pushes. The zap is good for defending against skeleton army, goblin gang, and bats, especially when they are played to counter your two big units. If you need to clear a larger area, turn to the poison which can wipe out hordes of units in a large radius.
Miner Poison Chip Damage
Despite this being a pretty clear beatdown deck, having the miner and the poison spell in your deck can give you an easy 500 damage onto your opponent’s tower. One of the best synergies in Clash Royale, the miner can hack away at the tower while the poison clears away any troops sent to stop him. Having just a few of these pushes can end up to weakening and even taking down the tower.
Just make sure the poison covers the area all around the tower; that way no placement your opponent has can escape the wrath of the poison spell. Also, be sure to switch up your miner placements for every deployment. If you send him in the same spot every time, your opponent will catch on and counter easier.
Inferno Dragon against Tanks
Without a defensive building in this mega knight PEKKA deck, the best way to defend against tank cards is the inferno dragon. Acting the same as the inferno tower, the ID can completely shut down cards like the giant or mega knight in just a few seconds. Make sure, when deploying the dragon, to play it near the bridge so that it can lock on sooner than later. However, playing it right on the bridge will make it ignore the unit once it gets close to your tower. Perfect placement is important!
Guards against Ground, Bats against Air
Of course, not every unit that comes your way in battle is going to be part of a massive build-up push. Instead, you are often going to have to deal with single units that were played defensively. This is where your bats and guards come in, as they are cheap counters to relatively tanky cards. From units that can only shoot ground, you should deploy your guards. Surrounding the incoming unit with the guards, especially if it is a splash card, makes your guards much more effective.
Of course, if the unit can shoot air troops or is a flying card, bats are a much more effective counter than guards. Since they are 2 elixir, they are also a lot more elixir friendly than deploying guards.
Mega Knight Beatdown Push
Now we get to the part of this deck that will allow you to win battles and show why it is really the meta in Clash Royale. The dual push between the mega knight and PEKKA is what every player strives for when playing this deck, being nearly impossible to counter. Of course, since it costs 14 elixir overall, you should only risk deploying the combo during double elixir; else you’ll be overwhelmed with a quick push. Once the PEKKA and mega knight are together, see if you can combine them with bats or possibly a poison. If not, don’t worry, these two cards are great by just themselves!
And with that, we are going to wrap it up for this week’s edition of the most meta deck in Clash Royale! I hope that you guys enjoyed this article and can use this deck to help you win out there on the ladder. Thanks for reading and comment down below what deck you are currently using in Clash Royale!

I love both PEKKA and Mega Knight! These 2 acts like a giant wall for almost anything, but I think PEKKA is usually more reliable than Mega Knight

I think mega knight by ITSELF can do more, but when the PEKKA has SUPPORT, it is pretty much damage on the tower guaranteed!

But that doesn’t even close to provide the time for your towers to shoot them down.

At least that will make us have more time to cycle to the PEKKA/Inferno

True, but you could cycle even faster with an ice spirit or skeletons
