The first sneak peeks for the Clash of Clans December 2016 update will be beginning soon as the official team for the Clash of Clans forums “leaked” that the update sneak peeks will be beginning the week of the 19th!

At the bottom, you can clearly see that the Clash of Clans team clearly hopes to start the update sneak peeks the week of the 19th-23rd, which would perfectly time it with the Christmas theme update. Along with this release date news, apparently this update is going to be pretty big as well, as told by this Clash of Clans admin:
