Clash Royale’s meta is always changing so we have our 7th most meta deck article featuring an awesome golem baby dragon beatdown deck within Clash Royale. This golem deck can work in all arenas, all the way from Royal Arena to Legendary Arena! Lets go ahead and look at some strategy for this golem beatdown meta deck!
Golem Beatdown Deck Overview
Obviously, the main offensive unit within this deck is the golem. Once you get the golem down and rolling, you want to try and stick as many cards as possible behind the golem like the mega minion, archers, and baby dragon. You also have the double zap log combo in order to fend off any skeleton armies or minion hordes played to try and stop your giant.
The tombstone is actually the most versatile card in this deck, being able to be played on offense or defense. It is a quick stop to a hog attack or you can use it to put a bunch of skeletons behind your golem. Lastly, we have the elixir collector which is super important. Start building up elixir early so you can maintain a huge elixir advantage throughout the game.
Pumping Up
So like I just said, pumping up is SO important with this deck. At 3.9, the deck doesn’t look too expensive, but with an 8 elixir tank being your main offensive card, you are going to need the elixir to build up a strong push. Mid game, you should always have at least 2 collectors down.
If you can possibly get 3 collectors down in the final minute of the battle, then you basically have the game won. You will be able to pump out so much elixir that you can get down your golem, plus all three of your support units with ease.
Building Up the Beatdown
Once you do hit double elixir, it is time for the beatdown part of this deck to come out and shine. Beatdown is exactly as it sounds; you are beating down your opponent with a massive push. At this point in the battle, you should be pumping out elixir like crazy, which means that you can play multiple units quickly.
It all starts with a golem in the back. Playing the golem behind the king’s tower allows you to get back up to 10 elixir before the golem reaches the bridge, allowing you to play mega minion/baby dragon/archers in behind.
Ideally, in your final beatdown push, you want to have the golem, along with 2 support units (archers, mega minion, and baby dragon if you haven’t gotten it already), and 2 elixir to use either zap or log for whatever troops your opponent plays to defend against you. Making this combo will almost guarantee a tower falling.
Countering Popular Decks
Despite at how great at offense this golem beatdown deck is, you still need to know how to counter the most popular decks and combos with Clash Royale at the moment. Here are 4 of the most popular combo right now and how you can beat them with this deck.
Hog Ice Golem- Since you have the tombstone, stopping the hog ice golem combo is extremely easy. Just place a tombstone to distract both of the offensive units and then plop down some archers to help clean up.
LavaLoon- For the seventh straight meta deck series, we feature LavaLoon as one of the most popular combos. Since all your support units can kill air troops, this is very easy to counter. Quick tombstone to pull the balloon, followed up by mega minion and archers to make sure everything goes down.
Royal Giant Minions- In my pushing deck, I use this combo and you need to take care of the minions first. Play a baby dragon to take those out, but also play a tombstone at the same time to distract the royal giant and provide skeletons to help clean up.
Golem Beatdown- Lastly, we have to find the counter for this very meta deck! This is hard to do since we are running the same cards, but you want to play tombstone to distract the golem. Also play some archers to help take down the golem while you place a mega minion on the baby dragon.

Well people might be laughing at baby dragon before, but nowadays everyone considered that baby dragon is the best epic in the game, again

So true! Baby dragon has been on the rise over the last few months!

Golem Lightning is also a very good strategy. I think Minions work better than Baby Dragon, though.

Yo, I love golem, it’s probably my favorite card, except for the fact I’ve always been bad with pumps, and the nerf making it 6 elixir a while ago, just even worse! I just don’t believe it’s that hard to take pumps out because of the fact there are such cards as miner, rocket, lightning, and even fireball can provide great value when a card is near. I’m not sure, but maybe it’s just me who isn’t great with it. I’ve even had a 4.2 deck with the golem without the pump and it worked, cuz I’m pretty good at knowing when to place golem. Also, if you follow nickatnyte and molt, then they always keep the golem till the end making it a siege card. If you know why, could you explain why this is better than placing it at the beginning of the battle and doing it often? Cuz my start works often too.

Catching your opponent off guard is the main reason for waiting with it. Also, playing it at the end allows you to have one massive push.

Well, playing it in the beginning does too a lot of the time
