Most Meta Deck #23: Giant Night Witch Deck

The meta is always changing within Clash Royale and for the 23rd time, we have the new best deck within Clash Royale! This deck is a giant night witch deck, centered around how cards have changed since the October balance changes. Here is some gameplay and strategy around the best deck in Clash Royale right now, a giant night witch deck!

Giant Night Witch Deck Overview

Giant Night Witch Deck Clash Royale

There are two main tank cards within the giant night witch deck, the giant and the miner. The giant is going to act as the main, overarching tank, which can be used to build up huge beatdown pushes that have the goal of doing as much damage on the tower as possible. On the other hand, we also have the miner, which should be used as a chip damage card. The best use for the miner is tanking for “zapped” minions so they can unload a whole bunch of damage.

As for our support cards, we have three, two of which are minions. The primary one is the night witch, which can unload some huge damage to the tower with her bats and single target attack. More on the defensive side on this deck, we have the double minions. Minions should be played to take out smaller threats like a solo bandit or hog rider. To take out bigger pushes, the minion horde is the card to turn to, allowing you to shut down giant pushes, as long as a wizard or executioner isn’t in the mix. All three of these cards can be played well on support or on defense.

This is one of those few decks that features triple spells. With the heavily prevalence of zap/log bait decks in the meta in Clash Royale right now, it is very smart to bring both in your deck. This can give you a lot of flexibility in defending and in taking out defensive cards played against your giant. We also have the fireball included in this deck, which is needed for taking out tankier units like the musketeer, wizard, and e-wiz. Fireball is also great to take out a tower with if the tower is low on health.

Cycling Fireballs

At tournament level, a fireball does 229 damage on an arena tower, which is damage that you can’t miss out on. You should try to cycle your fireball as much as possible onto the tower, aiming for at least 3 fireball hits a game. Try to not fireball the tower alone, instead hit a medium health unit like a musketeer as it passes by the tower.

Clash Royale Fireball vs Wizard

If you get 3 fireball on the tower a game, it makes it much easier to take down the tower through a beatdown push. 3 fireballs will do a combined 687 damage on the tower, taking the health down a whole lot!

Giant Night Witch BEATDOWN

The linchpin of this deck is a beatdown push. In the beginning of the battle, you probably don’t want to try and start up the beatdown because you aren’t getting enough elixir. Instead, try to wait until double elixir to combine all your units into one massive push. Ideally, you want to have giant as your main tank in the front, followed up by the night witch as your primary support card, with the miner as a second tank OR minions as a secondary support card. Putting all these units together calls for big damage and hopefully will result in a game-ending push by taking out a tower.

During the push, you should holding your zap or fireball at the ready so when the defensive units do get dropped, you are more than ready for them. I’d recommend hovering zap since skeleton army and goblin gang are two popular counters to giant.

Minions on Defense

We’ve discussed offense, so let’s wrap up this deck guide by talking about defense. As mentioned above, minions and minion horde are going to be your primary defensive cards in this giant night witch deck. These two cards are great at taking out ground units like the giant and PEKKA, but not so much once a splash damage card has been thrown in the mix. If that happens, make sure to surround the splash damage card first so your minions can’t all be destroyed in less than a second! Besides splash damage, minions and minion horde should be able to beat the rest of the cards!
