Clash Royale is officially giving us our second balance changes update in a month, which I already leaked here on the website. The balance changes are in February instead of March, but they are the exact same as we thought except with the addition of the baby dragon. Let’s go ahead and review the full update list of changes!
As always, nerfs will be listed in red, while buffs are in blue
- Executioner: Damage -6%, Range to 4.5 (from 5), axe hit radius -10%
- Poison: Duration to 8sec (from 10sec), Damage per second +24%
- Witch: Damage +6%
- P.E.K.K.A: Deploy Time to 1sec (from 3sec)
- Dark Prince: Hitpoints +5%
- Baby Dragon: Range to 3.5 (from 3)
- Skeletons: Skeleton Count to 4 (from 3)
- Skeleton Army: Skeleton Count to 15 (from 16)
Nerfs
Only two cards got nerfed here, but they are two of the most used cards in Clash Royale. The skeleton army nerf isn’t too bad, only losing one skeleton, but the executioner nerf is HUGE. 3 different parts of the executioner got nerfed, proving that even the Clash Royale team knew that this card was too strong.
Buffs
Buffs on the other hand added a ton of new cards to the list. Starting with poison, it will do the same damage, just in a shorter period of time making it much more viable. Witch has also been a bit underused despite multiple buffs, but with a damage increase she will be able to kill swarm units faster. PEKKA will be receiving a new deploy time, which should make him a better defensive counter for elite barbarians and other large units. Yet another epic, the dark prince isn’t as tanky as other 4 elixir cards, so he will be seeing a HP buff. Also, baby dragon will have an increase range, probably to make it a better counter against musketeer. And finally the 4th skeleton will be coming back into the game making skeletons equal to the 1 elixir ice spirit.
So there were a ton of buffs with this balance change, but the primary target is the executioner. Hopefully we see a bit less of him in the coming weeks as the meta balances out. Thanks for reading and come back soon for more Clash Royale content!

This buff made these cards a whole lot better:
Poison, it was underused since slow down got removed, now it’ll 1 shot skeleton
Witch , making her 1 shot skeletons was huge, she’s now a great alternative to the old executioner, except is a bit more fragile
PEKKA , what does that do? Made it a great counter to elite barbarians
Skeletons : you know why
